At Eastern Flavour Restaurant, food has always been about more than taste. It’s about connection, culture, and care. Each year, that belief comes to life through our annual food donation outreach, led by our CEO, Ms. Julia Pobi, to support homeless individuals especially children living on the streets of Accra.
What began as a simple desire to help has grown into a meaningful tradition. Every year, Eastern Flavour dedicates time, resources, and hands-on effort to prepare and distribute freshly cooked meals to some of the most vulnerable members of our community.
This initiative forms a key part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), reflecting our commitment to using our platform to make a positive social impact beyond the restaurant.
On outreach day, our kitchen becomes a place of purpose. Staff and volunteers work together to prepare nutritious local meals, which are then delivered directly to homeless individuals across various locations in Accra. Alongside food, we share water, warm smiles, and genuine conversations — small gestures that make a big difference.
For many beneficiaries, the meals provide comfort, nourishment, and a sense of dignity often missing in everyday life on the streets.
Speaking on the motivation behind the initiative, Ms. Julia Pobi shared:
“Food has the power to bring hope. As a business, we believe we have a responsibility to support those around us. This annual donation is our way of showing love, respect, and solidarity with people who need it most.”
Her hands-on involvement continues to inspire the Eastern Flavour team and encourages a culture of empathy and service within the organization.

As Eastern Flavour grows, so does our vision for community impact. Plans are already underway to expand future editions of the outreach by collaborating with partners and reaching even more people across Accra.
